REST Energy (Renewable Energy Solutions Tasmania) is a Tasmanian-owned and operated renewable energy business based on Hobart's eastern shore. We design and install solar, batteries, EV chargers and standalone (off-grid) power systems for homes and businesses, along with the associated electrical work required as part of those renewable energy installations.

Meet George Auchterlonie

George has been an electrician in and around Tasmania for over 35 years. For the past 15 he has worked only on renewable energy, and he's a true believer in what solar can do for Tasmanian homes and businesses.

George and his team of qualified electricians and tradespeople look after every job from the first call to switch-on. The thing customers mention most is how professional the team is. No sales guff, just honest, straight-to-the-facts advice and reliable service after the sale.

If you prefer no fuss and straight to the point service, then my hot tip is to give Rest Energy a buzz. George was beyond helpful, concise, and when a later issue popped up (due to the house and not the solar), he immediately was in contact to resolve it. From the initial discussions to establish our needs, to the quoting process, then the installation itself, things could not have been smoother from our side.
This industry does receive bad press because of dodgy operators, this is certainly not the case with Rest Energy Tas, professional in all dealings, on time installation and then always there for ny ongoing queries, not that we have had many as the hand over we received was very extensive.

After the great installation of 10kW of solar panels and a Myenergi system 4 years ago by George we decided to take advantage of the recent battery support package and get a FranklinWH system for backup installed. George and his team at Rest Energy installed our solar system in the middle of last year, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Over summer, we actually had a credit on our power bill, and throughout winter our bill has been minimal. The system has exceeded our expectations in terms of performance and savings.
